Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother
Anne R. Ilestin, of Lowell, formerly a longtime resident of Haiti, died unexpectedly on September 15, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital, aged 88 years.
She was born in Gonaives, Haiti, on January 3, 1933, a daughter of the late Louis and Cia (Clave) Jeune. Anne received her education in Haiti.
From an early age, Anne used her gift of intelligence in creative ways. As a hard-working entrepreneur, she began a grocery service business and grew it into a successful venture which she ran for many years. Wanting to be with her beloved family during her later years, Anne came to America after retiring. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her children, no matter how near or far, and for being a doting, loving grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudette Pelissier and Paule Aimable, and one son, Marc Pelissier, all of Lowell, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Boulevard, Lowell, on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM. Anne’s Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Stevens St., Lowell. Face masks respectfully required at all times. Interment in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell. Funeral Director, Frederick W. Healy. Please visit Anne’s life tribute at www.morsebaylissfuneralhome.com.
