Donna A. Vaillancourt, a longtime resident of Lowell, died peacefully February 13, 2022, in Haverhill, after a brief illness, aged 74 years.

She was born in Lowell, January 4, 1948, a daughter of the late Donald A. and Doris A. (Noonan) Vaillancourt. She received her education in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Donna began her career with the City of Lowell Public Works department, and retired as an Administrative Assistant, Head of Billing, for the Water/Sewer department. She had served the city for 37 years.

She is survived by two nephews, David A. Vaillancourt of Lowell, and Edward C. Vaillancourt and his wife Rita of Manchester, NH, two dear friends, Joann R. Gitschier of Florida, and John Cornelius, and her devoted cat, Lindy Jean. Special thanks to Angela M. Gitschier for the care, love and support she provided Donna over the years. She was the sister of the late Gloria Vaillancourt.

Friends will be received on Monday at the MORSE-BAYLISS FUNERAL HOME, 122 Princeton Boulevard, Lowell, from 9 to 9:45 AM, followed by her funeral service at 10 AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854. Funeral Director, Frederick W. Healy.
