Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend
Jeanne M. (Davidson) Zeller, of Lowell, entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2021, four days after her 89th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip “Phil” Zeller, with whom she had celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Born October 9, 1932 in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Israel “Phil” and Lillian (Shavitsky) Davidson. She received her early education in the Lawrence School System, and graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1950.
Jeanne worked in bookkeeping at a variety of places including Finberg Supply, Stromvall Accounting, Middlesex Printing and New England Fire Equipment. She also was active and volunteered at Temple Beth El in Lowell and the Jewish War Veterans Woman’s Auxiliary, was a Girl Scout Leader, and valued member and past president of the Aleppo Shriners woman’s group (HONS).
She always had a smile on her face and gave the best hugs. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, calligraphy, entertaining, and being with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Zeller and his wife Charna (Buchbinder), a daughter, Gayle Tye and her husband Jeffrey, a granddaughter, Dara Tye and her husband Joshua Goldberg, two grandsons, Jordan Tye and his wife Rachel (Shwartz), and David Tye, a great-granddaughter, the apple of her eye, Emma Garber Goldberg, a sister, Vera Flint, a brother, Michael Davidson and his wife Mary, and many loving nieces, nephews and those who considered her to be a mom and aunt. She was Great Grandma to the late Bella Garber Goldberg, and sister of the late Ina Schwartz.
Mrs. Zeller’s Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, October 17 at 11 AM at the Montefiore Cemetery, 46 Pulpit Rock Road, Pelham, NH. (Please omit flowers.) Due to Covid-19 considerations, masks will be required at all events and no refreshments will be served.
