Obituary for Kemella "Chi Chi" Khampannha

On September 10. 2019, our heart has been shattered to pieces. Our beautiful Mella has gained her Angel wings after a month short of battling leukemia for 2 long years. As her mother, father, aunts, uncles, grandparents, family, etc, we've lost a piece of our heart that can never be mended together. She fought long and hard for us and we will live for her. She was an amazing, beautiful, affectionate, innocent, loving, caring, courageous, silly, funny, charming little character with a big heart. Everyone who have met her has been touched by her personality and affectionate smiles. We are truly blessed to have spent 4 beautiful years with her. Through her struggles, she reassured us that life was worth living every moments. She taught us to take things 1 day at a time. To love and to cherish as life is unpromising. To forgive and be grateful as every thing can be looked and taken as a blessing. She taught us to be brave and strong. The list may never end as she remains in our heart forever. You are loved and will be miss dearly. Her burial ground will be a promising place of family gathering as we will continue to celebrate her for eternity.

I would like to take a moment to thank you everyone. From the people who's been following her journey from the beginning to all our close friends and families in person and through social media, thank you for all your love and support ❤.

I would also like to thank you our support group (Acute Lymphocytic leukemia on Facebook) you guys are all amazing. You have fought with us, cried with us, prayed with us, even mourned with us. We can not thank everyone enough. I wish you all the best of your journey with your cancer kids and please reach out if you ever need anything, even if it's just a simple prayer.

Thank you to all her doctors, nurses and the rest of the team at Tufts hospital. As you've helped and watched us overcome many obstacles along this battle. Yes, we've lost an angel, but the ending is also rewarding as we gained so much from this experience. Thank you so much for loving our Chichi (Nurse chichi in the house)!!! You guys are amazing at what you do. Shout out to Dr. Jason Law and Cathy Rosendield for never giving up on our little girl. You guys has found a way to the family's heart and in our heart you have won the award as best doctor of the year!! Please continue to save lives, and the heart of many. You gave us hope and fought with us till the very last minute. I know you will never forget Chichi and how courageous she was. ❤

Last but not least, I would like to send out an open invite to her funeral to for everyone who wishes to send her off. I know she is looking down and smiling at us rn. She is probably up there riding on her unicorn and dancing in the sky. I know she will be our guardian angel and will keep us all safe and sound.

Thank you all from the bottom of our heart. ❤❤❤
