Loving Wife, Daughter, Sister

Marcia Lynne (Elmont) Devasto, 65, of Nashua, NH, died unexpectedly on March 5, 2021, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Patrick A. Devasto with whom she shared 26 years of marriage.

Born in Boston, July 29, 1955, she was the daughter of Elaine (Brothers) Elmont of Delray, FL, and the late Charles Elmont. She was a graduate of Newton High School with the Class of 1973. Marcia furthered her education earning an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Massachusetts Bay Community College.

Marcia was a dedicated Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Win or lose, she always stayed loyal. She loved the challenge of a good puzzle, watching NASCAR, and anything Harry Potter.

The memories she made with her special ‘grandchildren’ gave her great joy. She will always be remembered for her nurturing, loving and caring ways. Marcia was a friend to many and touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Marcia got her joy in life by helping others - even in death, as an organ donor.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a brother, Alan Elmont and his wife Teri and Marcia was a loving aunt to their children Chani, Monika, and Lee of Culver City, CA. Though Marcia had no children of her own, she was a devoted ‘mom’ to Patricia and Michael Gouthro of Dracut, and a doting ‘YaYa’ to Hannah and Hailey Adams. Marcia was also the step-mother of Helen Lourenco, Melanie Devasto, Melissa Devasto and Michelle Devasto Mwai.

Funeral Services were private. Friends who wish may make a memorial donation in her name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements in the care of the Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Boulevard, Lowell. Funeral Director, Frederick W. Healy.
