Obituary for Theresa Plouffe (Pomerleau)

Theresa Irene (Pomerleau) Plouffe passed away peacefully in Peabody, MA on March 22, 2021 at the age of 94.

Theresa was born on July 23, 1926 in Chelmsford, MA to the late Joseph and Irma Olive (Mayheu) Pomerleau Gervais. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Plouffe Sr. and siblings Cecile St. Onge, Alfred Pomerleau, Leo Pomerleau, Helen Cavossa, Arthur Pomerleau, Edward Pomerleau, Rita Sgueglia, Joseph Pomerleau, Jeanette Hamel, Raymond Pomerleau and George Pomerleau. She had been mourning the recent loss of her dear friend Daniel Toohey.

Theresa is survived by three children, Raymond Plouffe and his partner Susan Regan of Waltham, MA, Marilyn Driscoll of Beverly, MA, Heidi Ambrosino and son-in-law Tony Ambrosino of Chelmsford, MA, as well as seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving sister Doris Stephenson of Townsend, MA.

Theresa worked in the Lowell Mills early in her work life, then retired from Tewksbury State Hospital where she cared for others. Her favorite work was refurbishing old collectable dolls. She enjoyed painting landscapes and landscape gardening, as well as sharing her planting knowledge and experience with neighbors and friends. Theresa also loved music, home decor and scouring antique shops for treasures.
