Obituary for William T. Terris

William "Tommy" Terris, affectionately known as "Ben" on the Harness Horse Race circuit, Dover Downs Delaware, Pocono Downs, and Rockingham Park, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021, in Lowell, with his loving siblings and niece by his side.

Born in Lowell on August 27 1943, he was the son of the late James A. and Elizabeth (Cushing) Terris.

He is survived by his sister Kathleen Terris of Lowell, and two brothers, Richard and Mary Jane Terris, and George and Joyce Terris, all of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews, including his very special great-nieces and nephews, Andrew and Kaleigh Lessieur, Johnathan and Brittany Mota, and Nyzaiah and Rheya Rich. He also leaves longtime friends Arthur and Kathy Brewer, and many friends at Mazure Park Apartments, and was extremely fond of the Brewer children, Kailey and Conor.

He was the brother of the late Brenda Ann Terris, Mary Gail McQuaid, Thomas Bernadino, James H. Terris and John "Mac" McCarthy, and uncle of the late Robert G. Terris and James D. Terris, great-uncle of the late Amanda McQuaid, and bother-in-law of the late Stanley McQuaid.

Uncle Tommy's antics will surely be missed.

Funeral services were private.
